The Happiest Place on Earth

DISNEYLAND

Mackenzie's first trip to Disneyland was not an ordinary family vacation. Pat was an adult with the high school group from our church and Mackenzie and I flew down separately with Laura and Caleb. So it was not quite a family vacation at all. We only saw Pat while we were at Disneyland but we still had so much fun.
Mackenzie and I were able to go to Mickey's Trick or Treat night with the Redmond family. We found out a few weeks before we were leaving for LA that they would be there at the same time. Mackenzie dressed up as Snow White and Noah was Mickey Mouse. We got to see so many characters that evening and that is when I learned that Mackenzie was not a fan of the big furry or not so furry characters. All she wanted to do was seat in her stroller and eat the candy she received from trick or treating around Disney California Adventure.

The next morning Laura, Caleb, Mackenzie and I headed off to Disneyland to meet up with everyone. We had to drive about 40minutes to get there because we stayed at Laura's in laws house. When we got in the car that morning Mackenzie had her shoes on her feet but she decided she would take them off for the drive there. When we got to the Disneyland parking structure we could not find ONE OF HER SHOES!!! Ohh no we had such a long day ahead of us and Mackenzie had only one shoe. We searched the car and we found NOTHING!!! We met up with Pat and Matt and Pat and I had to find shoes for her. All of the stores had shoes that were too big or shoes that were slip on. We had to go with the slip on shoes so most of the day we putting her shoes back on her feet because they kept falling off. The worst thing about this story is that when we got back to the car that evening the shoe was under the car. It most have fell out and in a place under the car that we did not look.We had such a fun time and we can not wait to go back!! Next time I do not think it will be so easy to put her to sleep though. She fell asleep waiting for the parade. So cute!!
